Playing a Rajinikanth fan in the film, Sivakarthikeyan along with comedian Parotta Suri resorts to the same old run of the mill quirky comedy, with no novelty whatsoever
Oops he has done it again! After riding high on the success of Ethir Neechal, Maan Karate and Kaaki Sattai, Sivakarthikeyan seems to be in no mood to shed away his boy next door image. So this time again he has teamed with his favourite comedian Parotta Suri for his upcoming film Rajini Murugan.
Wanna guess the genre of the film? There are no surprises here – it’s slapstick, tongue in cheek comedy ofcourse. Not that his films are bad or anything, but I am personally tired of watching Sivakarthikeyan acting in the same kinda film all over again. Never mind, the teaser of Rajini Murugan is here and this is what I thought of it:
The teaser starts off on a grim note with people asking for help in pouring rain. Then enters our hero spoofing Rajinikanth’s antics with the famous music from Muthu playing in the background. From this point you know that there is nothing new to the film. The teaser has some couple of quirky dialogues to attract the masses. We also get a glimpse of Raj Kiran fighting goons with his specialty kicks. Overall the teaser promises the film to be a delightful comedy for Sivakarthikeyan fans. But for the rest of us it seems like just an another slapstick comedy with nothing unique about it.
