The film’s trailer looks quite interesting especially with a focus on modern day relationships
Directed by Atlee Kumar, Raja Rani is Kumar’s first film as a director. Kumar has earlier assisted Shankar on Enthiran. Raja Rani features Arya, Jai, Nayanthara, Nazriya Nizam and Sathyaraj in the lead roles.
The Tamil romcom will release in September. From the first trailer the plot seems to revolve around newly married couples, who lead their married life within their egos and face difficult times. The director says that in the recent times, there is an increase in the number of divorce cases due to lack of compromising attitude between the couples. This apparently motivated Atlee to come up with the script.
Apparently earlier Priya Anand was considered for the lead role but then Nayanthara finally bagged the role and paired up opposite Arya. GV Prakash Kumar has composed the music for the film, jointly produced by AR Murugadoss and Fox Star Studios.
