Today’s column by Leepakshi Ellawadi is about Bugs Bunny, Looney Tunes and fashion!
Hello world! From Tweety to Bugs Bunny, high-end apparel brand Moschino has us all reliving our childhood fantasies with this collection. You won’t give it more thought after looking at what I’ve got for you from Moschino this time!
Moschino is always known for its surrealist take on fashion. Bright clash of colours, tongue-in-cheek statement pieces and a really irreverent feel to its own fashion. Just to take you through superfluously, the brand consists of several labels: Moschino (is always the main line), Moschino Cheap and Chic, and Love Moschino which is a diffusion line.
Apart from this the brand has some really quirky accessories, peculiar fragrances with memorable bottles and bright cosmetics and some real funky headgear like the jet helmets.
Also, in Milan, Moschino opened its own concept hotel in 2009 called the “Maison Moschino”.
As one can expect, every room’s decor has mannequins to body forms, decoratively put outfits merging into home decor. I saw some vintage pieces which were quite inspiring.
Definitely one luxury hotel to stay at if you are a fashion freak like me!
Getting back to the bags, apart from the iconic jacket cross body bags , This is what I wanna show you, this Looney Tunes mania-inspired collection!
All the shapes and sizes or styles you could think of, Looney Tunes was all over the laptop sleeves to bucket bags, travel gears to over-nighters, I could see all my favourite cartoons on some really quirky fashion pieces.
Sharing a few which caught my attention…
Here’s a cute gangsta Tweety on this faux leather wallet with a detachable strap, so you could use it as a wallet or a sling and not get bored with it. Stuff as many cards as you would like in those multiple slots and push your liners and gloss as the zip pouch keeps them safe and doesn’t make it bulge at all. You spend about £310 for this one !
Love this super quirky IPhone leather case which costs £38.
A medium size fabric sling was around £570 approximately. It’s was quite a fun bag but I was on the fence about the shape as it could end up looking like a child’s sling.
I am not someone who is overly keen on statement fashion pieces because you only end up using it selectively but I couldn’t resist this collection and walked out with this reversible, double faced shoulder bucket bag.
And I convinced myself that the £525 worth whismical tote Tweety and Sylvester on it was nice and spacious. It will definitely catch some eyeballs. It has cute leather ties to secure your belongings from constantly falling out which is mostly the case with bucket bags. And it has a zip pocket to keep those important things too. Spacious enough for your day essentials and a few more.
As seen on Deepika Padukone in the Vogue October issue was the fashion merchandise in the same theme and the thin purple woolen cardigan was for around 465£.
This is how the entire Looney Tunes collection looks.
That’s a wrap for us this week! As always, I appreciate you spending some time with me. We hope you have great week ahead. Be sure to join me right here next week for more bags and conversations!
Love,
