Sandalwood actor, Prashanth is evading arrest following a complaint filed by his wife, Shashirekha of dowry harassment
Barely had the dust settled on the Darshan’s wife-beating drama that Sandalwood was rocked again this morning with report of another star wife-beating case.The complaint was reportedly filed some days ago when Shashirekha alleged physical assault and harassment, but the Bangalore Police took cognizance only last night and found the Orata I Love You star, Prashanth missing from his home when they went to question him. The actor, who had several hits like Venky, Chellidaru, Sampigeya, Maharshi etc., was reportedly considering producing and directing a movie himself. According to sources, Prashanth began asking for money from his in-laws when financiers refused to fund his movie. The south actor has evaded the police questioning for a couple of days and was reportedly traced in the upmarket Dollars Colony in north Bangalore. The cops picked him up, but before they could ferry him to the police station, he managed to give them the slip. Latest reports suggest that the cops are hot on his trail. However, sources in the police department refused to provide details on how the star managed to escape.
