Is Ra Ra Krishnayya a rip off of Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya?

TIPS Industries has filed law suit against makers of Ra Ra Krishnayya for copyrights violation

In a country where almost 50 percent of the films are a remake, it is surprising how rarely do the movie bosses acquire copyrights for the original film. While most of the productions scot-free, looks like makers of Ra Ra Krishnayya might have to pay the price as TIPS Industries has filed complaint for copy right violation.

It is being said that Sundeep Kishan-Regina Cassandra starrer is an unofficial remake of 2012 Hindi film Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya. Since its release, critics and audience have stated Ra Ra Krishnayya to be a remake of Riteish Deshmukh-Genelia D’Souza starrer. But the makers have vehemently denied the allegations and claimed the similarities to be mere coincidence.

Now after two weeks of film’s release, TIPS Industries Ltd has stepped in and accused makers of Telugu film of plagiarism. “The plot, form, manner, arrangement and expression of the plot and story conceived in Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya and the prominent characters in the film are very similar in Ra Ra Krishnayya, including the depiction of the personalities of the characters in both the films”, claimed a source from TIPS.

Ra Ra Krishnayya has been termed as a decent grosser at the box office as the makers have managed to earn profit in the first two weeks of its release. Now will Vamsi Krishna Srinivas of SVK Cinemas pay a hefty fine to TIPS Industries or will he challenge the allegations on court? Is the Telugu flick a copy of Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya?
