He started off as a TV anchor and gained popularity as TV anchor in Star Vijay. Marina marked 29-year-old Sivakarthieyan’s debut as a hero and there has been no looking back since 2012! He has had seven releases in a span of three years and back-to-back successes with Kedi Billa Killadi Ranga (KBKR), Ethir Neechal and Varuthapadha Valibar Sangham (VVS). Comic sense: Sivakarthikeyan always had a great sense of comic timing and a way with words. Even on TV he made the audience laugh and he continues this trend in cinema as well. In Ehtir Neechal he played a young man who hates his name till he falls in love and wants to be successful in one thing in life. In KBKR, he and Vimal play two unemployed youngsters who are engaged in local politics and in VVS he plays a young guy who falls in love with a rich guy’s daughter.
Bankable Actor: Producers love Sivakarthikeyan because he is a bankable actor. They invest on him as they know that the movie will run and be profitable. This is one of his biggest strengths and the reason why he has had a steady three releases each year. Producers may make low budget films with him but they know that the audience loves him and hence, they repeat him in their films. VVS was made in a budget of Rs 11 crore but made Rs 27.35 crore in just 17 days!
