Priyanka Chopra’s return to Bollywood has got everyone excited; especially after knowing that her comeback film will be with none other than Salman Khan! The two will be reuniting onscreen after 10 years with ‘Bharat’ and with that, you can only anticipate the magic they are going to create once put together! Just how beautiful was it to watch them in films like Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, Salaam-e-Ishq. Although details of PC’s character in Bharat is still kept under wraps but we hear the actress is likely to begin shooting by the month of July, after wrapping up all her Hollywood commitments.
Confirms a source in interaction with DNA, “She will wrap up promotions for Quantico 3 and her other international commitments by June-end. She will be back to India and begin shoot for the Ali Abbas Zafar film July onwards.” Considering Bharat’ is an official adaptation of the Korean film Ode To My Father and will span over 50 years, the source added, “The team plans to shoot a few portions of the film with Salman before PC joins them on the set. They begin shooting in June in Punjab.”
Talking about the film, Bharat’s producer Atul Agnihotri told Mumbai Mirror, “That film is just the starting point for ours but since it was an inspiration, we wanted in all fairness to officially own it and acquired the remake rights before going ahead with Bharat. It starts in 1947 and ends in 2000 and is the journey of a country and also a person, both of whom go by the name of Bharat.” The actor-producer watched the film at the Busan International Film Festival and felt it could make for a great Bollywood film.
Not to mention, apart from Priyanka and Salman, Bharat also stars Disha Patani, Tabu and Sunil Grover and is all set to hit the screens in Eid 2019. Keep watching this space for more updates on the film.
