Ace filmmaker Karan Johar celebrates his 46th birthday and the occasion deserves celebration. The director cum producer is chilling in New York currently and we wonder if his best friend, Shah Rukh Khan, will join him for same. The Raees star is also shooting in the US, shooting for his next, Zero, with Anushka Sharma. So chances are high that the duo will meet on Karan’s special day or SRK, may even host a great bash of some sort for his dear friend. It can’t be just a coincidence that the birthday boy decided to celebrate his special day in NYC where his best friend is shooting simultaneously. It’s been eight years since the duo has come together for a movie, last being, My Name is Khan. Speaking about the same and revealing the reason behind a delay in their collaboration, SRK once said, “Karan and I always share a lot of ideas till we come on to a specific one, unless Karan already has a script for me that is ready. We meet and discuss a lot. But it is not as if we meet only if we have one film to discuss. So, there have been a lot of discussions over the last two years now. Before he was busy with Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. So yes, we keep discussing but we really haven’t hold on to anything as yet. The actor also believes that they need to move ahead with time and move away from the template that they both created with films like Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham. Well, we only hope they come together very soon though chances are very bleak. Shah Rukh is currently shooting for Zero, post which he plans to start the biopic on Rakesh Sharma. Interestingly Katrina Kaif was once asked how she will feel if she wakes up as Karan Johar one day. The actress had a rather genuine reply to the question. She said, “If I wake up as a guy who’s best friends with Shah Rukh Khan and has loads of money, and is that influential, I have no reason to be unhappy.” She would be more than happy is what she meant. And that’s true to some extent. I don’t think anyone would hate to take his place any day.
