Once again, Trending Tunes has reached a point where we have to keep including the same songs for a while. Fans are still listening to numbers from Veere Di Wedding and Sanju and even Race 3. So, sorry for the lack of variety this week. But the saving grace, if you can call it that is Dilbar remake. This week could have been the one without any remade songs on the list, but you guys have watched Dilbar from Satyamev Jayate so much that it has been trending on number 1 position on YouTube. Still waiting to see the day when there will be no remade songs on Trending Tunes. Let us begin with this week’s list!
Dilbar – Satyamev Jayate
The remake of the hit ’90s number might not be close to the original in spirit, but fans are loving it anyway. We did not see that coming. But you guys are the final jury and seems like you can’t have enough of this Tanishk Bagchi rehash. Neha Kakkar and Dhvani Bhanushali have crooned the number but, even they would agree, that they got nothing on Alka Yagnik. But their voices do come together to create a unique vibe. Chorus could have been way stronger than it is. The Arabic beats can only save the song so much. Shabbir Ahmed and Ikka have been credited for lyrics but they don’t bring anything new to the table. Nora Fatehi’s belly dancing moves are the sexiest thing about this song.
Kar Har Maidan Fateh – Sanju
Now that I have watched this song on the big screen, I have become even bigger of a fan. To give the popularity and awesomeness of the song a perspective, you should know that singer Sukhwinder Singh has received over 73,000 emotional fan-mails. Music composer, Vikram Montrose, is certainly the new guy on the block to look out for. I even like Mujhko Chand Par Le Chalo but it is yet to start trending. For now, listen to this inspiring upbeat Kar Har Maidaan Fateh!
Tareefan – Veere Di Wedding
We are still crushing over this slick dance number by Qaran. Badshah’s voice provides the required sexiness to this groovy track. And to make it even better, the music video features Sonam Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan. Well, I feel by next week another Badshah song, Nachna Tere Naal, will start showing up on music charts. For now, enjoy Tareefan!
Dhadak
The love anthem of the year! This song from by the stalwarts Ajay-Atul is sure the type you keep listening to on loop. A mellow understanding of love is a pre-requisite to understand the brilliance of this romantic track. It is not your regular corny romantic number but seems like the musical duo found a way to materialise the feeling of first love. Amitabh Bhattacharya’s words are poetry in the garb of a Bollywood song.
Heeriye – Race 3
Heeriye has become quite popular and is still trending on iTunes. It is the kind of track that you would love to blast from your speakers of the car.
