Trending Tunes: Jacqueline Fernandez’s Disco Disco and Shah Rukh Khan’s Safar are this week

Another Sunday, another round up of the best tunes of the week. Trending Tunes, this week, has an awesome disco number, and then it explores depth of love with an endearingly soft romantic song. We have to say before we move on, that Pritam has really outdone himself – with songs from Jagga Jasoos and Jab Harry Met Sejal as well. So, you know the drill. Turn the volume up as you listen to 5 of our picks from the last week.

Disco Disco (A Gentleman)

After such a long time, we have a disco number on our list. We are totally grooving with Jacqueline Fernandez and Sidharth Malhotra in this sexy flaring song from A Gentleman. The beats of the song certainly makes you want to hit the dance floor. Sachin-Jigar have composed the music. The duo had already won our hearts with the fantastic retro number Yeh Jawaani Teri from Meri Pyaar Bindu earlier this year. Now Disco Disco! We are really looking forward to the upcoming songs, now. Benny Dayal and Shirley Setia have crooned the number perfectly. Shirley, sure has a long way to go in the industry.

Mere Rashke Qamar (Baadshaho)

The first song from Ajay Devgn’s heist film has hit the ball out of the park. Not that the song Rashke Qamar was already not famous in India, but its use in the film has certainly added more fans. We see Ajay romance Ileana D’Cruz in the music video, and boy, it gets hot. Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, take a bow.  The man’s voice is no less than magic.

Safar (Jab Harry Met Sejal)

Pritam’s composition in this song is outstanding. Shah Rukh Khan looks utterly sexy while pretending to croon this number. I mean look at his nerves jutting out while makes the best use of his vocal chords. The song has over 5 million views on YouTube as of now. Don’t forget to laugh on the joke that is there after the song in the music video.

Hawa Hawa (Mubarakan)

The song is soaring high on music charts. The dnace number from Mubarakan has maintained its position. Fans are loving the chemistry shared by Ileana and Arjun Kapoor? Or is it Mika Singh’s energetic voice? Well, the song is certainly a one we won’t mind playing at parties and dancing it out with friends in full ‘raita playlist’ style.

Ullu Ka Pattha (Jagga Jasoos)

The song feature the lead pair Katrina Kaif and Ranbir Kapoor doing some of the quirkiest dance steps ever. It is fun to watch. The ditty has been composed by Pritam, and he has only raised our hopes even more for the rest of the songs from the album. Arijit Singh has lent his voice proving that he can handle any style, any genre of music with ease. Nikhita Gandhi’s voice blends in perfectly with Arijit. Lyrics penned by Amitabh Bhattacharya hit home.
