Tiger Shroff and Disha Patani starrer Baaghi 2 is shattering every possible record at the box office. The film has turned out to be a huge money-spinner not only in India but also in the international markets. Till now, Baaghi 2 has grossed Rs 205.20 crore (nett Rs 157.85 crore) in the domestic circuit and Rs 45 crore at the overseas box office. The action entertainer now stands with the grand total of Rs 250.20 crore globally. The film has turned out to be the biggest hit of its lead actors along with director Ahmed Khan.
Talking about the domestic box office, the film is currently the second highest grosser of the year after Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmaavat. It has beaten the lifetime business of many Bollywood films like Raid, Pad Man and Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety. Interestingly, the film has crushed the worldwide collections of many biggies like Jab Tak Hai Jaan, Airlift and Tubelight. Despite many new releases like Hichki, Blackmail and October, Tiger Shroff’s Baaghi 2 continued to dominate the box office thanks to its well-choreographed action sequences, high-octane stunts and a commercial potboiler plot. Baaghi 2 also features Manoj Bajpayee, Randeep Hooda, Prateik Babbar and Deepak Dobriyal in pivotal roles. The film is directed by ace choreographer Ahmed Khan, who previously helmed films like Lakeer and Fool N Final. Producer of the film Sajid Nadiadwala was so confident about the film, that he announced Baaghi 3 before the trailer launch of Baaghi 2. “Actually, I announced it before trailer of ‘Baaghi 2’ to my team. I wanted to give confidence before releasing ‘Baaghi 2’ to the director and the whole acting team and I am sure that the audience will like ‘Baaghi 2’ and help us to make part three”.
