Netflix’s popular series Stranger Things had the trailer for season two shown at the San Diego Comic Con. It reminds us of the classic creature based horror cum thriller flicks of the 1980s. The series will start airing from October 31 on Netflix and hopes to cash in on the Halloween season. The highlight of the trailer was definitely the use of Michael Jackson’s Thriller in the background. Stranger Things 2 has Ghostbuster costumes and was supposed to air in summer. Obviously, what everyone wanted to know was if Eleven would return and the answer is yes. And it is going to be a classic sci-fi fest with lights, special effects and smashing background music. The show tells the story of Will (Noah Schnapp) and his buddies Lucas (Caleb McLaughlin), Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo) and Mike (Finn Wolfhard). It also has Millie Bobby Brown as Eleven. Sean Astin and Paul Reiser also join the show. They have to control the menace in a nail-biting manner.
As per reports in the western media, the trailer was so new that even the cast saw it for the first time at San Diego Comic Con. The trailer begins by showing that Will Byers is haunted by whatever happened to him in season one. Matt and Ross Duffer the creators of Stranger Things were present there with director Shawn Levy and the young cast. In a statement to the Associated Press, Brown said, “It was difficult because obviously I had very few lines and I had to express everything with my face,” the actress said. “But it gets easier when you feel more comfortable with your character… It’s hard to keep a straight face with, you know, teen boys because they play pranks and they tell a lot of jokes when I’m doing an emotional scene.”
