Supreme Court to hear filmmaker Sunil Singh’s plea seeking an investigation into Sridevi’s death

Sridevi passed away earlier this year after accidently drowning in a bathtub at a posh hotel in Dubai. The actress was in the Gulf city to attend Mohit Marwah’s wedding, post which she extended her stay. Her sudden demise had come as a shock to the people across the world and several eyebrows were raised. People started speculating about conspiracy theories and now nearly three months after her death, the Supreme Court is all set to hear a plea seeking an investigation in Sridevi’s untimely death. According to Mumbai Mirror, small time filmmaker Sunil Singh (Game of Ayodhya fame) has filed a PIL in the Supreme Court and the judge accepted it a few days ago. Multiple report even state that the hearing will take place today, May 11 (Friday).

Sunil Singh had earlier filed a PIL seeking an investigation into Sridevi‘s death at the Delhi High COurt in March. He had stated that her death was of national interest, however the High Court rejected his plea. Hence, he decided to move to the Supreme Court, which has agreed to hear his case today. We wonder what case and proof will he present to the judge. According to the same report in the tabloid, Sunil had claimed that he was also in Dubai at the time of Sridevi’s death and the information that he had gathered from the management of the hotel and its employees was way different from what was given out by the family and reported in the media.
