We revealed to you how Sonam Kapoor Ahuja, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Swara Bhasker and Shikha Talsania’s Veere Di Wedding has remained rock steady and raked in an impressive amount over the first week at the domestic box office. In fact, with Rs 56.96 crore in its kitty after 7 days, Veere Di Wedding has cruised past the first week collections of Alia Bhatt’s Raazi (Rs 56.59 crore) and Kartik Aryan’s Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety (Rs 45.94 crore) to become the fifth highest first week grosser of 2018 till now.
If you look at the opening week collections of all the Bollywood release of 2018 till now, you will realise that Padmaavat is at the top spot with a first week collection of Rs 166.50 crore (9 day week). Baaghi 2 (Rs 112.85 crore), Raid (Rs 63.05 crore), Pad Man (Rs 62.87 crore), Veere Di Wedding (Rs 56.96 crore), Raazi (Rs 56.59 crore), Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety (Rs 45.94 crore) and Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran (Rs 35.41 crore) follow suit. Clearly, Veere Di Wedding is having a fantastic run at the box office. The fact that it has been able to achieve these feats even though it is an all women film that has been released in limited screens with an A rating, we have to say Veere Di Wedding has performed very well. In fact, even though Rajinikanth’s Kaala and Chris Pratt’s Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom have released in select screens, Veere Di Wedding has stood strong.
