Singh is Bliing box office collection: Akshay Kumar’s film continues to slump, makes Rs. 5.3 crore on first Wednesday!

The actor’s crazy antics as a Sardar worked till it lasted. The drop in collection continues steadily…

Akshay Kumar’s Singh Is Bliing brought a smile to everyone’s faces when it released last week. The first day saw a great business by the film. Gandhi Jayanti worked wonders for the film in general and Akshay Kumar in particular. The opening day collection is best ever for him in his career of more than two decades. With 20.67 crore, it’s his highest opening grosser ever and the film only earned more money over the weekend. But Monday started to see a visible decline in collection which is still continuing. Wednesday took another dip and stood at 5.3 crore taking the total to 73.40 crore.

Singh is Bliing‘s slapstick comedy worked tremendously for the audience and the producers laughed their way to the bank. It opened with a whopping 20.67 cr on Friday which is the second highest opening of 2015 after Bajrangi Bhaijaan. Saturday however took a shocking dip to more than 14 crore but Sunday bailed the film out with over 19 crore collection. The weekend collection thus stood at a rocking 54.44 crore. But Monday clocked 7.1 crore, Tuesday 6.56 crore and Wednesday 5.3 crore; which clearly shows that the film is on a downslide at the box office. The second weekend might bring in more money and the film might be able to touch the 100 crore mark.

But whatever may be the outcome after week 1, SIB is definitely one of the successful films of 2015.
