South Indian actor Shriya Saran was born on September 11, 1982
It’s a milestone birthday for Shriya Saran as she turns 30 today. And there’s no doubt she’s in a good place right now.
The Delhi girl who made her debut with Ishtam in 2001 quickly went on to grab offers aplenty in Telugu films. She’s also made a mark in Kollywood, making the occasional foray into B-Town and notching up some English projects as well.
At present, she has in hand the prestigious film adaptation of Midnight’s Children, has the Telugu film Life is Beautiful ready for release and is working on the Tamil-Kannada bilingual, Chandra, directed by Roopa Iyer. An untitled project with Jimmy Shergill is also in progress. High points in her career have included Sivaji: The Boss in which she was Rajinikanth’s love interest and Rowthiram in 2011 which won her a best actor’s award. Her English films, Cooking with Stella and The Other End of the Line both earned her critical acclaim.
Shriya has tasted plenty of commercial success, too, with films such as the Vikram-starrer Kandasamy and Pokkiri Raja in Malayalam. At 30, this pretty lass is still single and refuses to talk about her relationships. Here’s wishing the tough girl a very happy birthday.
