Riteish Deshmukh shoots a film with ‘baiko’ Genelia D’Souza!

They have acted together in a couple of movies before they got married, but it’s the first time Riteish and Genelia will be sharing screen space as husband and wife

Last time they came together in Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya. Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D’Souza made us giggle with their comic timing and crackling on-screen chemistry. Back then, the long time lovebirds were excited to tie the ceremonial knot. And now the married couple is all set – for the first time ever as off screen husband and wife – for a film directed by Saket Chaudhary.

“It’s been almost ten years since the release of my debut film Tujhe Meri Kasam – and it’s still shown at Maharashtra theatres. Tujhe Meri Kasam is special because its my debut film and that’s where I met the woman of my life – my baiko!,” tweeted Ritesh.

We hear that the new film is a romantic comedy and will be produced by Shree Ashtavinayak Cine Vision. Saket earlier directed Pyaar Ke Side Effects (2006) starring Mallika Sherawat and Rahul Bose. Incidentally, this is Genelia’s first film post marriage.

We think that having seen Ritiesh’s embarrassingly outrageous histrionics in his upcoming film Kyaa Super Kool Hain Hum, the Deshmukh khandaan wanted their actor lad to do some decent acting with their new bahu Genelia. Hence the film!
