For those who have been impatiently waiting to see Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt on the silver screen together, here’s something that might upset you. We hear that the shoot of their forthcoming movie Dragon has been postponed to November. The film was announced a little over a year ago and has been in the making since then. Initially, the film was supposed to go on floors in September but the shoot has now been pushed further. According to TOI, Ayan, who is directing the movie, is still working on the story of the superhero film and they are suppose to begin shooting by the end of this year. The leading daily quoted an insider saying, “Ayan is still working on the story of a boy with super powers as he is not able to get it right.”
So that means Ranbir will have enough time for himself after Jagga Jasoos promotions and the Sanjay Dutt biopic. And as for Alia, she has been on a break since a while now and we keep snapping her with either her bestie Anuska Ranjan or with boyfriend Sidharth Malhotra. So the routine is likely to be the same for her until November now.
A couple of months ago, we happen to come across pictures of Alia and Ranbir where they were seen heading out of a gym where they had already started taking mixed martial arts training for their roles in Dragon. For those who don’t know, Dragon is a scifi superhero film. This is the first time both RK and Ms Bhatt will be exploring this genre and it would be quite interesting to see how this will be different from other superhero films that have been made in Bollywood so far.
Alia had shared some interesting insights about the plot of the film where in an interview she had said that Dragon is “not a typical superhero film,” But she also added that it is “a sci-fi, supernatural film” “There will be a lot of action around me. I don’t think I will be beating up anybody,” she said further.
