Second week of 2017 has been full of surprises – Nivin Pauly’s makeover for his upcoming film – Moothon was jaw dropping, then there was the intriguing Ghazi Trailer that has a very interesting never-known-before story to tell. We also caught a glimpse of the Telugu remake of Saala Khadoos and the suave first look of Chiyaan Vikram from his next. In short, we are now excited as many cool things are happening down south. Let’s give you a lowdown of what happened in the last 5 days.
Moothon first look – The first day of this weekend began with a bang with Nivin Pauly‘s unrecognisable look for his upcoming project – Moothon. The project will be written by Geetu Mohandas and Anurag Kashyap will help with the dialogues in Hindi. Aanand L Rai will be one of the producers. The film is about a teenager’s search for his elder brother. Moothon means elder brother in Lakswadeep slang. Other members of the team include – Rajeev Ravi, Kunal Sharma, Wasiq Khan, Sneha Khanwalakar, Sunil Rodrigues, Govind Menon, Ajithkumar Balagopalan.
The Ghazi Trailer – The much talked about war at sea film – The Ghazi Attack released its trailer on 11th January, 2017. The promising cast – Rana Daggubati, Kay Kay Menon, Taapsee Pannu, along with its breathtaking visuals were the two big highlights of the trailer. The fact that a large part of the film has been shot in a submarine is adding to its uniqueness. It’s q story that hasn’t been told before. It’s based on the mysterious events that took place in 1971, before the Indo-Pak war. The film will release on 17th February in Hindi and Telugu. Guru teaser – Venkatesh Daggubati will soon be seen in the Telugu remake of Saala Khadoos – Guru. His acts as the ruthless, taskmaster is bang on! Also, Venky has gone through a major physical transformation. The role seems to be tailor made for him. Can’t wait for the release now. Dhruva Natchathiram first look – Chiyaan Vikram surprised us as yet again when a new poster of the actor in a suave business avatar was released. He is collaborating with Gautham Menon for this project. For those who don’t know, Gautham Menon was to do this project with Suriya originally, but they fell out due to creative differences. The film is all set to release in August. The makers have been releasing quite a few posters of the actor in stylish avatars. Mohanlal’s 600 crore project – Mohanlal will soon revive his 2014 project – Randamoozham. The movie is going to be made on a budget of Rs 600 crore. It’s based on M T Vasudevan Nair’s book that narrates the story of Mahabharata from Bheemam’s perspective.
