Raanjhanaa song Tu mun shudi: Sonam Kapoor, Dhanush and Abhay Deol are politically charged!

Music maestro AR Rahman teams up with Rabbi Shergill to compose a new anthem for restless youngsters

Spirited, uplifting and interesting – the latest track Tu mun shudi from Raanjhanaa will remind you of Dhakka laka bookka from Mani Ratnam’s 2004 movie Yuva in terms of cinematography, but musically it is very different. The film is being promoted as a love story, but this number revolves mainly around a group of politically charged youth. Sonam Kapoor, the Kolaveri di famed Dhanush and Abhay Deol look refreshingly different. It is really moving to see the trio on a drive to change the ‘system’ and campaigning hard to bring about political and societal changes.

Irshad Kamil has penned its fine lyrics and AR Rahman has teamed up with Rabbi to compose it equally well. The duo has come together after giving us a fine composition like Challa ki from Yash Chopra’s last romantic flick Jab Tak Hai Jaan. Watch this catchy song from the interesting looking film and tell us if you find it inspiring too!
