Fan piece alert! R Madhavan has been my crush ever since I can remember and since it’s the actor’s birthday today, I thought of revisiting some of his older pictures. That’s exactly what you need to motivate you to work for two more days until weekend. I have had a crush on Maddy since the Alaipayuthey days! See that’s an advantage of being a South Indian. You have seen most films of this actor and you’ve grown up watching him romance onscreen. Maddy can easily be the Shah Rukh Khan of South when it comes to romancing your leading lady onscreen.
I must have seen Dumm Dumm Dumm, Alaipayuthey, Rehna Hai Tere Dil Mein and a few other films at least a dozen times. Oh and that smile! It’s enough to make you fall in love with him. Clearly Maddy has never had a problem with the ladies. All he has to do his flash his smile and women will throw themselves at him. Madhavan has done quite a lot of Bollywood films, too, and we have loved him in all of the films. Be it Tanu Weds Manu or Saala Khadoos, he has not disappointed us at all. In fact, he went through a massive transformation for Saala Khadoos. Our next-door-chocolate-boy became muscular and hot! Even though we are used to seeing him romance onscreen and we would rather watch him romance than kick or punch people, the actor has done a lot of good work in the industry. 13 B, Saala Khadoos, 3 Idiots, Kannathil Mutthamittal, Ayitha Ezhuthu and so on are one of his best films so far. Having seen this man grow from the cute little boy on screen to a macho muscular man has been one wonderful experience.
The actor got married to Sarita Birje, whom he met at a conference before they started dating, in 1999 after which he started doing mainstream films. The two do make a good pair.
