On course her quest for global domination, Priyanka Chopra has added one more feather to her cap. She was inducted into UNICEF global family by none other than David Beckham. She has been appointed as newest global Goodwill Ambassador joining the ranks of other UNICEF Goodwill Ambassadors such as David Beckham, Orlando Bloom and Jackie Chan. Sharing her excitement about the same, Priyanka Chopra took to Instagram and posted a picture from the event with David Beckham and Millie Bobby Brown. The caption read, “Thank you @davidbeckham and @milliebobby_brown for inducting me into the @UNICEF global family. Always delighted to meet likeminded people who believe that there is humanity left in us after all. And @milliebobby_brown you were a superb host tonight… congratulations on the #GoldenGlobes nod #foreverychild”
Priyanka Chopra who has served as a UNICEF national ambassador in India, said, “My involvement with UNICEF began almost 10 years ago in India. Today, I stand here humbled, enriched and committed, because of it. Thank you, UNICEF, for the amazing journey so far as well as this huge honour.” She further added, “Along this decade old journey, with UNICEF, I have been on many field trips to villages and centers across India. On those trips, I spent time with numerous young girls and their families and experienced firsthand the transformative power of empowering young girls with opportunities that are rightfully theirs. On the work front, Priyanka Chopra will next be making her big Hollywood debut alongside Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson in Baywatch. Apart from that she’ll be returning as Alex Parish after mid season break in season 2 of Quantico.
