It’s been a month since Ranveer Singh, Shahid Kapoor and Deepika Padukone‘s Padmaavat released at the theatres and it is still earning consistently. That’s really incredible. The shelf life of movies at the theatres is very limited. Not every movie manages to stay put for so long. And by doing so Padmaavat is increasingly moving towards Dhoom 3‘s numbers. It might just beat Aamir Khan‘s film by this weekend.
Padmaavat, as of now, has earned Rs 281.78 crore at the box office, whereas Dhoom 3, has amassed a total of Rs 284.27 crore throughout its entire run. The way the film is earning money, it won’t be long before the film manages to beat the racy thriller. That will be a huge achievement for the film. It anyway has left many Khan films behind to become one of the highest grossers of Indian cinema. Sanjay Leela Bhansali will definitely be proud of his film which released after a lot of struggle. Padmaavat’s success proves that if a film has content, nothing can stop it from being a hit. The film had to go through a lot to reach where it is today. It obviously is a slap on the faces of every person who opposed the film because despite not getting a release at major areas, the film is still earning well.
