On Women’s Day, Ekta Kapoor shares how Sridevi showed her “strong women support women”

Sridevi’s sudden demise left us all in grief. The legendary actress passed away on February 24 in Dubai. From fans, celebs, to the whole nation mourned the untimely demise of this great actress. And everyone is still lamenting her death. People are paying homage to the actress. Like many of us, even celebs, it seems, lost a part of their childhoods. She had that aura which not only made her graceful but her strong personality always left us awestruck. Today is Women’s Day and while people are celebrating the power of women, Ekta Kapoor took to Twitter to not only celebrate the day but also to share what Sridevi taught her.

Ekta took to Twitter and wrote, “Women’s day is every day! But today, I’ll remember a woman who gave me a childhood joy like no other. I lost touch with her when I grew up but the fat child in me had a silent approval of India’s first female superstar.”[sic] She further wrote, “My mom will always be my biggest hero but this women’s day is for that hero who first showed me “Strong women support women”( even if she is much younger) #ripsridevi #ladysuperstar #WomensDay” Well, we can not only understand what Ekta feels but also we can relate to her emotions.
