Netflix signs a whopping Rs 120 crore deal with Aamir Khan for Thugs of Hindostan?

Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan’s pic with the Netflix CEO Reed Hastings went viral a couple of days ago. For all those who have been wondering what the meeting was all about, here’s an interesting piece of information. Reports suggest that Aamir Khan has signed a Rs 120 crore deal with Netflix, which has more than 86 million members globally. Woah! Now isn’t that huge? The reports further suggest that Netflix has acquired the satellite and digital rights of Aamir’s next film- Thugs Of Hindostan, while the actor is most likely to retain the theatrical and music rights of the film. There haven’t been any official announcements made so far, but if that happens, this could possibly be one of the biggest deals that’s happened in the history of Bollywood. According to a SpotboyE report, the real reason behind the meeting was to discuss how to go about the plan. “Netflix wants to buy the rights of all films of Shah Rukh and Aamir which hit theatres from now on. This means that you will see the films of these two Khans first on Netflix and not on Sony/Star/Colors/Zee,” the portal quoted a source. (ALSO READ: Revealed!
