Right now, the one puzzle we really want to solve is who is playing Anurag Basu in the reboot of Kasautii Zindagii Kay? Every day we hear a new name and then the name gets dismissed by either Ekta Kapoor herself or the person in question. After Shaeer Sheikh and Ssharad Malhotra, now we hear Parth Samthaan has been finalised for the role of Anurag Basu. We can already hear girls squealing with joy! But let us tell you, confirmations have not flown in from any quarter.
A source revealed to Mumbai Mirror, “Parth was finalised on Friday, despite stiff competition from other contenders. While Erica has already shot an announcement video, he will soon join her in another video that will announce them as the leads of the show.” The show is expected to air from August on Star Plus. Barun Sobti apparently was in the running as well but the actor refuted it. We got in touch with Barun for his reaction and he said, “Not that I know of. Hina Khan has already been finalised to play the role of Komalika but actress wouldn’t confirm it. Speaking to News 18, she said, “There is nothing like that now. I have not signed any project just yet. I talked to them. But nothing has been signed yet. I can not say anything about this now.” Clearly, people just can’t wait for Ekta Kapoor to make an official announcement regarding the same. After all, Kasautii Zindagii Kay is not just another fiction show. It is laced with memories and everyone loved Anurag even when he was the most flawed human being on earth.
