Bollywood actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui has fallen prey to a controversy. There have been reports that say that the wife of Nawazuddin Siddiqui‘s younger brother has filed a police complaint against the Bollywood actor and his parents in Muzaffarnagar, alleging torture, an official said on Saturday. The woman has made serious charges on the film actor, saying he kicked her in the stomach when she was three months pregnant. In a complaint given to Superintendent of Police (Rural) Rakesh Jolly, the woman who married the actor’s younger brother Minauzzidin Siddiqui on May 31, 2016, has alleged that her in-laws have been asking for dowry and misbehaving with her. She has also alleged that Nawazuddin beat her up on September 28.
The woman had first approached the Kotwali police station, but when they did not entertain her complaint, she met the superintendent of police (rural) along with her mother, father and uncle. (ALSO READ: 5 times Nawazuddin Siddiqui IMPRESSED us with his kick ass performances!)
However, the actor has clearly denied all such allegations. Nawazuddin’s spokersperson Anup Pandey spoke EXCLUSIVELY to BollywoodLife and revealed that NO complaints or FIR has been lodged against the actor. He also stated that it was Nawazuddin who got his brother married to the girl, who is the daughter of a bus driver. This clearly states that the girl’s financial background isn’t very strong and that Nawaz’s family couldn’t demand a bribe even if they wanted to, in the first place. “Things have taken an unusual turn now. Nawazuddin respects women which is why he was quite as of now. But now things have gone out of hands and he plans to come out and present this version of the story very soon,” confirmed the spokesperson. While this statement from Nawaz’s spokesperson quashes all such reports of the actor torturing his sister-in-law, let’s wait and see what the actor has to say about the same. Nawaz, who was last seen in Freaky Ali opposite Amy Jackson is currently in New Delhi for an event and will be back in Mumbai soon.
