The Mastizaade director lashed out at Kashyap on Twitter last night…
At a recent event Anurag Kashyap said something unflattering about Grand Masti whose script was written by Milap Zaveri. While promoting his upcoming sex comedy Hunterr at a promotional event, the Bombay Velvet director said that he wouldn’t dare to watch films like Masti and Grand Masti even if he was paid to do so. Here’s what the talented filmmaker exactly said, “No I don’t like Masti, and I won’t watch it also. I wouldn’t watch it on cable or for free, not even if someone paid me 5 crores.” This certainly irked Milap Zaveri big time who then took to Twitter and lambasted Kashyap for his remarks. Take a look at the series of tweets that Zaveri posted on the popular social networking site last night:
“Mr Kashyap Ure lifetime films combined haven’t made as much as #Masti n #GrandMasti so take a hike.”
“Anurag Kashyap says if someone gives him 5 cr also he won’t see #Masti or #GrandMasti Maybe that’s why most of his films don’t do even 5cr.”
“Jab box office Aapke pichwaade pe “hunterrr” maarega na tab pata chalega ki sex comedy mein #Masti aur #GrandMasti Aapke baap lagte hain.”
“Anurag says he isn’t frustrated to see #GrandMasti Correct. He makes #Girlintheyellowboots where a father gets handjobs from his daughter.”
“I respect @mohit11481 who On directors round table with @RajeevMasand said #GrandMasti was his fav film that year. Bravo! Learn Mr Kashyap.”
“Everyone has a right to not like something. But that dislike can be expressed in a civil manner without being derogatory Mr Kashyap.”
“Anurag made these tacky remarks about #GrandMasti while promoting his own sex com #Hunterrr How’s that for double standards.”
“I loved #Queen n #Lootera made by @VikramMotwane n @BahlVikas n respect them for being civil in the interview unlike Anurag.”
Though the Ek Villain writer lashed out at Anurag, he wants Kashyap’s film Hunterr to do well at the box office. While talking to a portal, Milap Zaveri said, “I hope Hunterr becomes a huge hit. Then he will realise the power of this genre, so that next time he ridicules these movies, he will understand that the audience who is ‘frustrated enough’ to watch this genre is very huge and are waiting for such films.”
Anurag Kashyap on the other hand hasn’t reacted to all this till now!
