It was a bit of a shock to see Malaika Arora suddenly step in as the celebrity judge for Nach Baliye 8. We had informed you that she had replaced actress Sonakshi Sinha, who has been signed as the judge for the show. Turns out, there has been no replacement of any sort done! Yes, Sona is still a part of the show. In fact, we’ve found out that Malaika has just stepped in for one episode of the show, because of Sonakshi’s unavailability! We’ve been notified that due to prior commitments of Sonakshi with her string of tours. The diva, who recently wrapped up with Da Bangg tour will soon be heading out for another tour that includes Hrithik Roshan and Madhuri Dixit-Nene. Because of this, Malaika had been approached. Considering how she has previously judged the show, she didn’t mind coming to the show’s rescue.

She shot an episode on Tuesday where the Half Girlfriend cast had turned up for promotions. Malaika, as usual, looked striking as she made heads turn. But since this episode took place, word started spreading that there was a replacement. The show, which originally has Sonakshi Sinha as the celebrity judge decided to opt out of it for a few episodes due to her next musical tour, Night Loaded With Stars with Hrithik Roshan and Madhuri Dixit Nene. Right after the Da Bangg tour ended, everybody returned back to the city. However, Sona decided to vacay a little before she jetted off for another tour.
Lately Sona has been caught up in quite a lot of controversy starting from the Malik brothers’ feud to the bad performance of her film, Noor.
