Maine Pyar Kiya, Hum Saath Saath Hain, Hum Aapke Hain Koun! – Salman Khan and Reema Lagoo’s special bond in films that spelt hits

Reema Lagoo, the sweet affable and extremely likeable mother in many films, left for heavenly abode yesterday. This morning thus started on a very mournful note. Such partings always hurt and that made us wonder what Salman Khan might be thinking who played her son in many films. In fact, their mother-son bond was the most cherished ones in all these films. Even in those where they didn’t play mother and son, their camaraderie warmed our hearts. So while we remember her, we thought of visiting those memories where Reema Lagoo and Salman warmed our hearts and made us cry as well. Maine Pyar Kiya

This is was perhaps the first time they came together on screen as mother and son and we instantly liked them. Their was an air of comfort between the two. It was as if they were friends. We all wanted such a cool mother in our lives too.

Hum Apke Hain Koun!

Salman and Reema Lagoo weren’t mother and son here but their warmth was unmissable.

Hum Saath Saath Hain

Salman was her favourite son in the film but she raised him so well that he was not hesitant to stand against his own mother because it was right. Nobody can forget this particular scene.

Nishchay

A rebellious son and a very supportive mother…how we wish our moms were that accessible to us!

Kahi Pyaar Na Ho Jaye

We couldn’t get a grab or a video of them together from the film and honestly, they don’t really interact much in the film either but the comfort was visible in whichever scenes they were together. Reema Lagoo played Rani Mukerji’s mother here and not Salman’s.

Pathhar Ke Phool

A mother who became the strength for her son…
