Madhavan, who is gearing up for the release of his first web-series Breathe for Amazon Prime India on January 26th in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi, will team up with director Sarkunam of Vaagai Sooda Vaa and Dhanush’s Naiyyaandi fame.
The untitled project will be shot extensively in some exotic places around the world. Said to be a mega-extravaganza, this yet-untitled film will be presented by Common Man Ganesh. It is to be noted that Ganesh had marked a place for himself in the production with films of substance like ‘Orange Mittai’ and ‘Rekka’ with Vijay Sethupathi.
Sarkunam himself who had earlier produced the much appreciated ‘Manja Pai’ and currently producing ‘Dora’ with Nayanthara is co-producing this film, besides his direction credits. (Also Read: Breathe teaser: R Madhavan turns into a monster for his child; watch video)
“This film is set in the backdrop of a jungle. It will be shot in Thailand, Mongolia, Tajikisthan and other parts of the world. Ghibran has been roped in as the music director, and famous Hollywood stuntman Greg Burridge who worked in the films like Harry Potter and the deathly hallows part 2 and Dracula untold has been roped in as the stunt director of this film. He was referred to me by ‘Idhu Vedhalam Sollum Kadhai’ movie’s director Rathindran Prasad. The selection of the other cast and crew is on. This film is a combination of action and adventure and is focussed on the kids. It will be an absolute family entertainer. We have planned to start the shoot from June,” says Sarkunam.
Maddy’s last Tamil film Vikram Vedha directed by Pushkar and Gayathri became a sensational hit at the box office. He locked horns with Vijay Sethupathi in the gangster drama, which was produced by Sashikanth of YNOT Pictures.
