The ace filmmaker turned 42 today
Born on May 25, 1972, filmmaker Karan Johar is supremely talented. From the glamorous movie biz to the lucrative television sphere to the world of fashion – you see KJo’s distinct presence everywhere. After giving us emotionally-charged, melodramatic and over-the-top glossy films, the multifaceted filmmaker surprised us with his ‘realistic’ segment in Bombay Talkies.
The articulate dude wears many hats – that of director, producer, screenwriter, costume designer, stylist, television host and who knows what else. In a career spanning over 15 years, Karan has given his adoring public commercially mega-successful films like Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, My Name Is Khan and Student Of The Year. Helming Dharma Productions after the death of his father Yash Johar, he’s given young talent some deserving opportunities and produced films like Kal Ho Naa Ho, Dostana, Agneepath, Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu, Wake Up Sid, to name a few.
Here’s wishing him a very Happy Birthday and may he continue to make our worlds even more filmy with each work of his!
