Last year, in a shocking turn of events, Balika Vadhu actress Pratyusha Banerjee ended her life by hanging herself from her Goregaon residence. If she was alive, she would have turned 26. Good friend and her Bigg Boss colleague Kamya Punjabi posted an emotional note for her on Instagram on this account. Post Pratyusha’s tragic demise, it was Kamya who was at the forefront when it comes to her parents case against her boyfriend Rahul Raj Singh, who was accused of mental and physical harassment. This year, a short film based on her turbulent relationship was also released though Singh obtained a stay order against it. Pratyusha who hailed from the small town of Jamshedpur, made her entry in showbiz at the age of 19. She got the part of Anandi on Balika Vadhu and won over viewers with her pretty looks and innocence. She quit the show after a couple of years to be a part of Bigg Boss. The show showcased a different personality of Pratyusha’s side. She was also a part of shows like Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, Sasural Simar Ka and Gulmohur Grand. It is evident that people miss her a lot. After her death, reports surfaced of how she was unhappy due to a financial crunch. Her parents accused Singh of taking away her money and cheating on her.
