Director Shashank Khaitan’s Dhadak is refusing to slow down at the box office. The romantic drama is doing phenomenal business at the global market. Till now, the film has grossed Rs 79.23 crore (Rs 63.39 crore) in India and Rs 16 crore in the international markets. Dhadak currently stands with the grand total of Rs 95.23 crore at the worldwide box office. We are expecting the film to enter the Rs 100 crore club by today or tomorrow at the ticket windows.
Lead actress Janhvi Kapoor, who is overwhelmed with the response to the film thanked the audience by posting a behind the scene picture on her Instagram account and captioned it, “Thankful, grateful, and blessed ?? for all of you, and because of all of you. #dhadak”. The 21-year-old star also posted photos of his co-star Ishaan Khatter, director Shashank Khaitan and other team members. Dhadak is the official remake of Nagraj Manjule’s Marathi blockbuster Sairat, which crossed Rs 100 crore mark at the box office. The film is directed by Shashank Khaitan, who previously helmed films like Badrinath Ki Dulhania and Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania. It is produced by Karan Johar under his banner Dharma Productions and also stars Ashutosh Rana, Ankit Bisht and Aishwarya Narkar in pivotal roles.
