Ranveer Singh and Vaani Kapoor‘s Befikre is one of the boldest movies that Yash Raj Films has made till date. Set in Paris, Befikre is a free-spirited, contemporary love story of Dharam (Ranveer) and Shyra (Vaani), who believe in living life to the fullest. We saw a lot of kisses and love making scenes in the movie, however one song that struck a chord with everyone across the world is Labon Ka Karobaar. We saw many couples of different age, race and sexuality kiss each other in the video, giving out a message that love does not care about stereotypes. A few days ago, we came across another video that may have been inspired from the song itself.
During the historic NFL Superbowl 2017, a video was made with the help of kiss cams. For those who don’t know, the concept of kiss cams is that when a couple is featured on it, they have to kiss. So during the NFL Superbowl 2017, couples of different age, sexuality and race kissed when the camera panned to them. And the video ended with a message that love has no labels. Though the visuals are different, the message given out reminds us so much of Labon Ka Karobaar that we had to show it to you. Check out both the videos right here and tell us what you thought about the initiative and similarities in the comments section below!
Meanwhile, Befikre had a fair run at the box office when it released. Our reviewer – Sreeju Sudhakaran had mentioned in his review, “Befikre might have its flaws, but it still deserves your time thanks to a breezy narrative and fantastic performances by Ranveer and Vaani. Expect something on the lines of DDLJ and you will be disappointed. However, if you have a thing for entertaining romcoms, then Befikre can be that fun date movie for you.” With a good buzz around the movie, Befikre earned a decent amount of Rs 60.24 crore in its lifetime run at the box office.
