Aamir Khan‘s Dangal is all set to release tomorrow i.e. December 23. There are reports that the film might be shown in Pakistan as well. Ever since the Uri attack happened, Indian films had stopped being screened in Pakistan as a counterattack for Pakistani actors are banned in India. But now that things have calmed down a bit, Bollywood movies have started being screened in Pakistan. We had reported a couple of days ago, about how Freaky Ali became the first Indian movie to be screened in Pakistan after the ban. Now there is a strong buzz that Aamir’s Dangal will be screened in Pakistan. However there is no official confirmation about it.
Last night at the special screening of the Aamir Khan movie, Sakshi Tanwar, who plays Aamir’s wife in the biopic, was asked to comment on the news of Dangal getting screened in Pakistan. She was as clueless like us. Sakshi said, “I am not to sure if it has happened. I have only heard about this news just like you. Main toh yahi kahungi jab bhi koi achcha kaam ho aur entertainment ke saath saath koi message bhi ho toh zyada se zyaada log dekhe toh utna hi achcha hai (I would say that whenever there is an entertaining film that has a message as well, if more people get to watch it, the better.).”

Also reportedly when Aamir too was quizzed about Dangal getting screened in Pakistan, the actor refused to comment on it. Now only time can tell whether the film will be released in Pakistan or not. As per reports in IANS, Pakistan has lifted the ban on Indian movies and now it’s the Indian distributors’ decision whether they will sell the movie to Pakistan or not.
Well, Mr Perfectionist is known a marketing guru and we won’t be surprised if he gives the green signal to showcase Dangal in Pakistan. So BollywoodLifers what do you have to say about it – should Dangal be screened in Pakistan or not? Share your thoughts right now in the comments box below.
