Hema Malini will not direct again!

Since her last directorial venture Tell Me O Kkhuda received a lukewarm response at the box office, the original dream girl of B-town is not interested in making films anymore

Hema Malini made Tell Me O Kkhuda in a desperate attempt to save her daughter Esha Deol’s tumbling Bollywood career. The film, despite a strong support from the industrywallahs, failed miserably at the box office. And now, feeling kind of down by the reaction her production got from the audience, Hema Malini has decided to stop making films any more films. The 63-year-old actor had turned filmmaker with her 1992 directorial debut Dil Aashna Hain that starred Shahrukh Khan and Divya Bharti. But after her second film flopped, she lost heart to take on any more projects.

“I made a film recently but it did not work at all, and my heart broke. If you tell me to make another film, I will not. If you give me money to make it, then I will. But I don’t want to make a film because it is too much of a risk,” said the veteran actor in an interview to a daily.

And now after her daughter Esha’s grand wedding with Bandra businessman Bharat Takhtani, the star mother wants to focus on her other interests like dance and spirituality. “I am not meant for that (direction), my gestures are different, so I dance. If you to tell me to work in a film, I will. I act well, I can do that. But I will not produce a film,” she added.
