Young actors turning producers is the latest fad in Bollywood wethinks. After Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma, Shahid Kapoor has also decided to don the producer’s hat. The Kaminey actor along with Vishal Bhardwaj and UTV will produce his next film Haider. We have learnt that the trio are equal partners in the film and hold 33.33 percent share. Our khufiya khabroo says, “There have been rumours that Shahid has not taken fee for the project, but that’s not true. Shahid is turning producer with Haider and has taken a nominal fee. It only shows everyone’s trust and belief in the project. Everyone is investing equally in the project.”
Though Sasha is backing up Bhardwaj’s film as a producer, apparently the talented actor won’t be taking credit for that. “Shahid is an actor and it’s just that he decided to turn a producer because he has immense faith in the project. There’s no ambition involved here” adds our khabroo.
While we have no doubt about Kapoor lad’s acting skills, we hope he tastes success as a producer too with Haider.
