Ghajini actor Khalid Siddiqui arrested for molesting and strangling his wife

The actor was also accused of ill treating his children

Television actor, Khalid Siddiqui, who is popularly know for his portrayal for the loyal manager of Aamir Khan in Ghajini, was arrested on Wednesday, September 30 by the Khar police after his estranged wife, Raahat, filed a complaint against him pressing charges of abuse and molestation. The incident took place at around 2:30 am and Khalid was arrested at 6:30 am.

Khalid and his wife have been living separately for over two years now and as per a legal arrangement, their two kids, a son and a daughter, live with their father and visit Raahat on weekends. As reported by his wife, when Siddiqui dropped his kids at his wife’s place on October 25, his son was unwell and had to skip school the following Monday. Raahat then dropped the kids back at Khalid’s on Tuesday. She was, however, furious to see her husband’s car in the neighbourhood where he was visiting his girlfriend.

While talking about the same to a leading daily, Raahat said, “Furious that my son was unwell at home and Khalid was busy with his girlfriend, I started screaming his name. He immediately answered his phone the next time I called, and said he was coming down, but did so only after an hour.”

After meeting his wife, Khalid tried to strangle and molest her, following which Raahat filed an FIR at the Khar police station.

Khalid is currently out on bail as he pointed out that though the two live separately, they are still technically married.
