Flush It or Keep It? Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar talk about Bollywood trends like nepotism, airport fashion and size zero

Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar decided to wear their hearts on their sleeve and tell us all about their take on the latest fads in Bollywood. In BollywoodLife’s “Keep It or Flush It” interview segment the Toilet: Ek Prem Katha actors offer their take on everything from nepotism to airport fashion. Well, like we told you earlier, both Akshay and Bhumi want the nepotism debate , kickstarted by Kangana Ranaut on Karan Johar’s Koffee couch, to be on. However, the duo decided to not add their two piece to the hot debate that has given a burn to quite a few including Varun Dhawan and Saif Ali Khan who participated in the Nepotism Rocks jig at the IIFA 2017 stage in the US this year, alongside Karan Johar. Of course that wasn’t the only topic we had. While Akshay gave a huge thumbs up to airport fashion, and six pack abs, he seemed pretty annoyed with selfies and Snapchat filters. Bhumi, of course, did not agree with her co-star on these two topics and defended them.

Akshay even went on to tease a selfie-obsessed Bhumi and imitated her. Akshay revealed that he’d rather do away with the selfie trend. When we probed the actor as to if he isn’t selfie-obsessed, he said, “No, I am, but itna nahi. She goes mad. 24 ghante selfie per rehti hai. She’s on a selfie mode only. I’ve seen her, raat ko sone se pehle bhi she checks it out. If the angle has changed that means it’s not a nice night.”

While both Bhumi and Akshay revealed that they’d like to flush the size zero trend from Bollywood, we were surprised to see Akshay’s funny reaction to item songs. With one of the best track records at the box office, Akshay hailed the Rs 100 crore clubs too. Of course during this entire session we couldn’t keep calm and were literally left LOLing.

Toilet – Ek Prem Katha is Akshay and Bhumi‘s first film together and it addresses a very important issue of open-defecation prevalent in the country. The movie has hit screens on August 11 and the film released in over 3000 screens in India.
