The soon-to-be-married couple has decided to tie the knot at an auspicious venue. And Hema Malini reveals why
Esha Deol is all set to marry beau Bharat Takhtani, a businessman, on June 29th this year. And the venue will be – hold your breath – a temple in suburban Mumbai! Yup, defying all norms of a typical B-town wedding, where couples usually get married in some swanky restaurant, resort or even a beach resort, the Deol girl will do it in super-traditional style in a temple.
Revealing the reason for this Hema Malini says, “Mine was a very quiet wedding, with no shor-sharaba. I want an elaborate wedding for my daughter. Dharamji and I need everyone’s good wishes.” Awwww! Now that’s saying it in true Mommy style, no? Also, according to Hemaji, a temple was chosen because it’s a perfect place for matrimony.
But then the temple might not be able to accommodate the long list of guests that actor-cum-politician parents Hema and Dharmendra plan to invite. And so, the reception will take place in a luxury hotel on June 30.
While all this actually gets us into the mood of a proper shaadi, we can’t help but worry about the overcast skies. Hope that the Mumbai rains behave on June 29, 2012. Fingers crossed.
