Ekta Kapoor amazed everyone when she dropped a hint that she is going to remake a love saga after 17 years. After a little research, it was revealed that it is her iconic show, Kasautii Zindagii Kay. We couldn’t wait to see the reboot version of this daily soap. While this left us excited, speculations about who will step into whose shoes started doing the rounds. And why not, after all, Prerna (Shweta Tiwari), Mr Bajaj (Ronit Roy) and Anurag (Cezzane Khan later replaced by Hiten Tejwani) created a huge craze that no one can deny. After many names, the artist whose name did the most buzz was that of Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi actress Erica Fernandes. The actress has been missing from action for a long time now and fans were excited to hear it. However, she denied earlier. But recently again, a source close to an entertainment portal revealed that she has been finalised for the show and she will begin shooting soon. Now, reports are rife that Erica will be shooting for the announcement video soon.
According to the latest reports of Mumbai Mirror, a source told them, “Erica came on board a while ago and is slated to shoot a video for the announcement soon. Talks have been on with her Kuch Rang… co-star Shaheer Sheikh to join in as the male lead. The show will go on air in August on Star Plus and work on creating the grand sets for the show has begun.” However, other reports suggest that the actor has been roped in for the TV remake of Mughal-E-Azam. But you never know maybe Shaheer will choose this show as Shaheer’s chemistry with Erica is breathtaking and leaves everyone gushing over them. They also met each other recently. Earlier, when Erica denied the rumours about joining the show, she said, “Oh no! that’s completely not true. Having said that, it’s great to know that Kasautii is making a comeback, as it was really nice show. If I sign something, I would break the news myself. Until then, I am just going to travel around the globe and explore.” We wonder what will Erica say now.
