The show was immensely popular in those days and we bet it’s new version will get equal love and support from the viewers. While there was a lot of speculation surrounding the actress who will play Prerna and the actor who will be Anurag in its reboot version, Erica Fernandes was finally declared as the lead actress. Her last show, Kuch Rang Pyaar Ke Aise Bhi had a successful run and audiences enjoyed her chemistry with Shaheer Sheikh tremendously. Though working on the reboot version of such a popular show is a dream come true for any actress, what prompted Erica to sign it in the first place? The actress in her recent interaction with India Forums opened up about the thoughts she had and what made her sign it. When she was asked the reason behind her signing the show, she said, “It is Kasautii…! It is Balaji and it is star plus! The trio was good enough for me. And for me to be offered Kasauti as my second show was thrilling.” Fair enough we say. The actress also revealed what changes will the makers make in its original script that would cater to today’s audiences. When she was asked how the reboot version will be different than its original, she said, “For a matter of fact 20 yrs back things were dealt with differently and the way people thought was very different, today we are a slight bit more liberal and modernised, our approach towards things have changed. So we are bringing back this show keeping in mind today’s generation but with the same essence. And talking about different shows, as actors you need to experience and experiment. If you don’t do that how are you supposed to grow? There is a lot to learn from every project you do.”
Meanwhile, we are eager beaver to know who will romance Erica in this new show. Many popular names have cropped up in the process but Ekta would simply not budge to reveal who is it really.
