Ekta Kapoor’s Dil Hi To Hai starring Karan Kundrra and Yogita Bihani to go on air from June 11

While IPL hampers the TRP of channels, most of them plan a revamp after it ends and hit the audience with new content and get them hooked to the shows. Just like other channels, Sony, too, is all set to welcome new shows. They have already announced that Rishta Likhenge Hum Naya and Ek Deewaana Tha are going off air. With all this happening, the makers are all set to launch three new shows on the channel. Salman Khan’s 10 Ka Dum, Ram Kapoor’s Zindagi Ke Crossroads and Ekta Kapoor’s Dil Hi Toh Hai are the shows that will soon go on air and all of them seem promising enough. Ekta has a lot of shows in the pipeline and this daily soap created the most buzz as earlier it was assumed that it was the TV remake of Shah Rukh Khan’s iconic movie, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham. But soon she declined the rumours and shared a tweet where she mentioned it is a family drama and not inspired by the movie. While our wait was becoming more and more difficult, we now have the dates for from when the show will go on air.

Dil Hi Toh Hai will premiere on TV from June 11 and play on the 10 pm slot. So block your dates from now. The show has many stars involved. Yogita Bihani, who shot to fame with Salman Khan’s 10 Ka Dum, will be making her debut with this show. Earlier, Pyaar Ka Punchnama actor, Omkar Kapoor, was signed on to play the lead, but soon he was replaced when the makers were shooting the promo of the show. Then popular actor Karan Kundrra stepped into his shoes. Popular names like Poonam Dhillon, Pyaar Toh Hona Hi Tha actor Bijoy Anand, Rajat Tokas, Pooja Banerjee and others have been finalised for the show. With all these names and Ekta making a family drama, the show is surely going to set high benchmarks for its contemporaries.
