Despite his macho man image, the 52-year-old actor has played the subtle, down to earth and gentleman character of Prem with so much finesse that we can’t imagine any other actor in that kind of role.
But do you know how many times Salman Khan has played the adorable, charming and sometimes hilarious character of Prem? The answer is 15 times. Yes, you read it right. Salman played Prem in films like Maine Pyaar Kiya, Hum Aapke Hain Koun..!, Hum Saath-Saath Hain, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, Partner, Judwaa, Biwi No. 1, No Entry, Deewana Mastana, Ready, Marigold, To Fall in Love, Kahin Pyaar Ho Na Jaye, Chal Mere Bhai and Andaz Apna Apna. Interestingly, director Sooraj Barjatya, who was the first filmmaker to give him this iconic screen name, cast him in four movies with the central character of Prem. On the work front, Salman Khan is currently shooting for Race 3 which is directed by Remo D’Souza. The action thriller also features Daisy Shah, Bobby Deol, Saqib Saleem, Anil Kapoor, Freddy Daruwala and Jacqueline Fernandez in key roles and is set to hit the screens on June 15 during the festive season of Eid. After wrapping up Race 3, he will start shooting for Dabangg 3, which will be directed by Prabhudheva. The cop film is expected to release during the Christmas or New Year weekend of 2018.
