Did you know: Hrithik Roshan and John Abraham were the original choices for SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali?

Here’s an interesting gossip from behind the scenes of the grandest Indian film ever made…

SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus Baahubali is all set to release today. The film, which has been made in Telugu and Tamil simultaneously has been later dubber in Hindi, Malayalam and many other languages. However, not many know that the film was originally supposed to be shot as a trilingual. Yes, SS Rajamouli also wanted to shoot the film in Hindi and that too with Hrithik Roshan and John Abraham in the lead. Sounds wow, hai na?

Sadly, it didn’t happen. Sources claim that SS Rajamouli had sent both John Abraham and Hrithik Roshan the script for Baahubali asking them for a narration time. However, on getting no reverts from them for long, he chose to move ahead and make the movie only in Telugu and Tamil with Prabhas and Rana Daggubati as the lead characters. Both John and Hrithik were busy during that time with other Bollywood projects and it can be possible that because of that they didn’t pick up the movie. Maybe, three years back they didn’t think that this film will move ahead to become India’s biggest motion picture ever. Hai na? Speculations can be many, but we can’t be sure of any!

What say peeps, wouldn’t it have been wonderful to see who would play the hero and who would play the villain in the Hindi version of Baahubali? As villains both John and Hrithik have proved their mettle in Dhoom and Dhoom: 2. So it would definitely be a tough competition there. We would have loved to see these two well sculpted Bollywood hunks portray such historic characters. What about you BollywoodLifers?
