The veteran actor says that alcohol nearly ruined his work life until he finally took control of the situation and made some drastic changes to his lifestyle
Dharmendra’s Yamla Pagla Deewana 2 will hit the screens this Friday. The actor declares that he has worked super hard on the film that stars his sons Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol as well. And surprisingly, the Deols who are not exactly known for indulging in hardcore selling, are promoting the film aggressively this time around.
But where does all the enthusiasm come from at the age of 77? The veteran performer claims that he wouldn’t have reached this position today if he had stuck to his harmful drinking habits. There was a time he literally got addicted to liquor and the ravages of alcohol soon started taking a toll on his mind and body. It was his deteriorating health conditions that were an eye opener, says Dharam ji. He claims that he soon took control of his life, quit alcohol in 2011 and started learning the business aspect of filmmaking. The actor has surely set an example and can be an inspiration to many.
