The shooting was finished in record time
At the beginning of the year, Dhanush began working on this year’s first film which was Kodi. The movie is touted to be a political thriller and it was considered to be a new role for the actor. Kodi went on floors in the first week of January and the shooting progressed at a brisk pace. And surprisingly the shoot for Kodi is already over. The VIP star tweeted about the same…

Earlier on there were talks that the Durai Senthil Kumar directorial will be wrapped up by the end of this month and sure enough, the cast and crew were able to finish it off in record time. The post production of the film has already started. Other than the Anegan actor, the movie also has Trisha Krishnan, Anupama Maheshwaran of Premam fame, Sathish, S A Chandrasekhar, Subbu Panchu, DMJ Rajasimhan and Vinu Mohan. Santosh Narayanan will be composing the music for this film. The flick is produced by Vetrimaaran’s Grassroot. However, the release date is yet to be finalised.
Dhanush sported a new look for this movie, with a bushy beard and moustache. Kodi will the third project in which the actor and director are working together, the first two being Ethir Neechal and Kakki Sattai. However,both the films were only produced by Dhanush’s Wunderbar Productions and this is the first movie where Dhanush has collaborated with Senthilkumar as an actor.
In the meantime, Dhanush is also working on Prabhu Solomon’s Rail and will be part of a Hollywood film with none other than Uma Thurman.
