Deepika Padukone: I’m not a north Indian; I’ve a south Indian accent

Here’s a video from the e-motion-al film which will leave you in splits…

Piku released this Friday and ever since has been garnering great reviews. The film has been touted as one of the best family entertainers of all times and the full credit goes to Irrfan Khan, Amitabh Bachchan and Deepika Padukone. The three have given stellar performances and audiences are going gaga about the film. We managed to get our hands on a video from the shooting of the film, which shows as to what all went in to making this mad caper fun movie.

In the video titled 60 days 60 shots, the whole characterization of the lead character Piku has been shown so beautifully that you will be left awed by the end of it. Deepika is seen learning the nuances of speaking Bengali from the director Shoojit Sircar. At one points she gets so frustrated herself that she yells out, “I’m not a north Indian. I have a south Indian accent.” Funny hai na? She also moves ahead to speak in a heavily south Indian accent saying ‘ready’ almost 4-5 times.

Together, it was really fun to see how much enjoyment they had during the shooting of the film. So go ahead BollywoodLifers, have a look at this video and let us know your thoughts on the same.
