Actor Dharmendra urges people to pray for the ailing veteran
Wrestler-actor Dara Singh‘s condition continues to be very critical. He is undergoing dialysis at the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital here and doctors say there has been significant damage to his brain. “His condition is still very critical. MRI is showing significant damage to brain due to decreased oxygen supply to brain when he had the cardiac arrest,” Dr Ram Narain, COO, Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital, said on Wednesday morning.
Actor Dharmendra, who visited the ailing veteran in hospital asked people to pray for his recovery. “He is my darling brother. Let’s pray for him. Doctors are trying their best. Please pray for him,” said Dharmendra.
“His condition is not good at all,” his son Vindu Dara Singh said. Dara Singh had been hospitalied on Saturday. His close friends Dharmendra, Raza Murad, Farah Khan among others visited him at the hospital. Dara Singh, who won the title of Rustam-e-Hind for his wrestling prowess, entered the film world in 1952 with Sangdil. He appeared in various films like Watan Se Door, Rustom-E-Baghdad, Sher Dil, Sikandar E Azam, Raaka, Mera Naam Joker, Dharam Karam and Mard. He was last seen in 2007 release Jab We Met starring Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor. He has also done TV serials and is best known for his portrayal of Hanuman in Ramayan.
